Chikatsuasuka Museum will hold the Cherry Blossom Festival on March 29 and 30.
Visitors can experience local specialty products and hands-on activities.

- Museum Opening Hours : 10:00 am - 5:00 pm (Entry until 4:30 pm)

The achievements of the Baekje Kings， whose ancestors were the royal family of the ancient Korean kingdom of Baekje， will be introduced through important cultural properties and archaeological materials on display for the first time. The exhibition will be held from April 5 to May 25.

- Exhibition Period: Saturday， April 5 to Sunday， May 25
*Closure: Mondays (open on May 5 and 6， and closed on May 7)
- Time: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm (Entry until 4:30 pm)

* NEW! The Festival of the Lights in OSAKA， the Expo Special Illumination and Lighting Ceremony
=================================================================
To mark the opening of Expo 2025 Osaka， Kansai， Japan， “Midosuji Illumination，” “Osaka City Hall Front Illumination Facade” and “Nakanoshima Illumination Street” will have special performances starting in April， and for the first day on April 9， 2025 a lighting ceremony will be held.
Please enjoy the Expo along with the beautiful night view of Osaka and the illuminations.

* NEW! Spring Exhibition 2025 “Designing Ancient Chinese Society: The Radiance of Life” will be held at the Museum of Yayoi Culture
=================================================================
From April 19 to June 22， the Museum of Yayoi Culture will display its Chinese artifact collection to introduce the history of ancient China， with a focus on the “Life” expressed in the works.

- Exhibition Period: Saturday， April 19 to Sunday， June 22， 2025
- Closure: Mondays
- Time: 9:30 am - 5:00 pm (Entry until 4:30 pm)
- Admission: General: 430 yen， College/High-School Students and 65 and over: 330 yen
*Free for junior high school students or younger， and for those with disabilities and their one helper.

* NEW! Need a new passport? Apply early!
=================================================================
Starting from applications submitted on March 24， the current type of passport will be replaced by the “2025-type passport” to protect against counterfeiting and alteration.
The National Printing Bureau will produce passports centrally and deliver them to each prefecture.
Consequently， the days required from application to issuance will be extended to 10 business days (previously 6 business days) at the Osaka Prefectural Passport Center and 14 business days (previously 10 business days) at city and town offices in the prefecture.
If you are planning to travel abroad， please apply early.

=================================================================
In Osaka， which is known as the “Aqua Metropolis”， one of the largest fountain shows using water， light， and music will be on display， with projection mapping onto the piers being used to create a fantastical atmosphere.
The view from on top of the boat will allow for an exceptional sight.

As a new lively location for Osaka the Aqua Metropolis， “Nakanoshima Gate， South Pier” will open.

* “Food Allergy Communication Sheet” in Multiple Languages
=================================================================
Osaka Prefecture has created a “Food Allergy Communication Sheet” in multiple languages with pictograms in order to prevent food allergy accidents among foreigners who eat at restaurants.
The languages are English， Simplified Chinese， Traditional Chinese， Korean， Thai， Vietnamese， Indonesian， Portuguese， French， Spanish， and Japanese.
Please make good use of the sheet at restaurants.
The sheet is available at the Living Environment Inspection Department at public health centers under the jurisdiction of Osaka Prefecture and at public health centers in Osaka City.
